If you have been online for any amount of time, you probably know that article marketing is one of the best ways to generate a ton of free, targeted traffic to your website. Article marketing can be a tad bit difficult when you are first starting out. As you continue to write, your articles will get better and your traffic will increase. People love information. Give them good information and they won’t mind spending their money with you.

Here are 3 tips to help your write great traffic generating articles.

Write attention-grabbing titles – The first thing people will see is your title. If it doesn’t spark interest or curiousity then they won’t read your article. Be creative. Tell me, which one of these titles grab your attention? “How To Make Money Online” or “10 super easy ways to pad your bank account”? I would go for number 2 if I had to choose. Your title is important. It’s the first glance they get at what you are about to tell them. I personally don’t worry too much about putting keywords in my title. If I can then I do, but if my title is more attention grabbing without them, then I leave them out. My goal is to get people to read my article. I worry more about keywords in the body of the article.

Teach don’t sell – people hate being sold to all the time. To make a lot of money online remember you need to give before you receive. It’s hard to build rapport online because people can’t see you. When you go into a brick and mortar business, you have to the ability to interact one on one with someone. You don’t have that online. You have to build rapport by showing people you are knowledgable and willing to share some of your knowledge. So do not sell people in your articles. Teach them something. Give them a nugget of information that they can use immediately after reading your article. As you continue to teach them, they will become more comfortable with buying from you.

Make it fun – Make comparisons, use jokes, ask questions, do whatever you can to make your article easy to relate to and fun to read. There is nothing worse then reading a boring article. People will stop reading before they get to the point where you invite them to your website. You don’t want that. So think outside the box. Make it fun. You are only limited by your imagination.
